sympathy card

I have struggled with making this card. I am always afraid the card will be too festive looking. I used cream and blacks for the colors, with dark brown inking... I used one of Wanda's (Wanda's Cards and Crafts) card templates. The flower was a dingbat (WWFreebie is the name of the dingbat font) and I just welded a circle in the center so that it didnt cut out as individual petals. The ribbon slide I just made by joining a rectangle with 2 rounded rectangles for the ribbon to go into. The paper is all from DCWV Le Creme stack.. What do you think?

Diane,
I think this card will be very appropriate for your needs...not too festive.

It's good to see you online again. I LOVE MTC. I like being in on it almost from the beginning. So much easier for me than SCAL2

I love the muted colours and the distressed feel you've given this card - I think you got the tone just right!

This is a very nice card. I know what you mean - sympathy cards are the hardest for me. You don't want to go too far. Yours is just right - beautifully done! I love the ribbon/tab technique.
